DO NOT USE THIS YARN.

It broke many times while knitting and the bind off. Holes - multiple after just wearing a few hours. And pilling and fuzz coming off.

All that work and money to have it get holes after one wear.

The left sleeve is almost done. I knit one round of the ribbed cuff with US5 and then switched to US3. 1 3/4”, about 15 rounds, before rearranging for the tubular cast-off.

Finally, I’m back to this. I spent months finishing a friend’s sweater. It was enjoyable, but none of my projects regressed.

Making a split hem: Use 5, not going down in needle size so the hem hangs straight down. The back will be about 1/2” longer.

Using a Slip One Yarnover Selvedge

Fits well so far. To prevent it from looking like a maternity sweater, added double decreases in the back (SSK, k, k, k2tog) lower than the bust area.

The tubular cast on was less effort than expected. Sat in the backyard under the tree.

Being sport weight, it knits up slowly, but it is a simple, relaxing (boring) knit.

10-8-24 The collar is knit. It looks vwide, but I’d prefer wide over too tight. I’m waiting for the 5&7 needles to be delivered. I will never lend my needles out unless someone reimburses me on the spot. $27 and waiting two weeks.
