I designed the hat and the mittens by using Tunisian crochet work in the round with double-ended Tunisian hook. The cable gives it a beautiful texture. Bows on top of the hat and around the wrists look so cute and lovely.
Hat and mitts are worked with double point Tunisian hook in rounds. Always work with two skeins of yarn, one for the forward pass (FwP), another for the return pass (RetP). Bows are worked with regular Tunisian hook and standard hook. Only work ‘yo, pull through 1 lp’ at the RetP beginning of the foundation row.
Hook: Size I/9 (5.5mm) 14” double-ended Tunisian crochet hook; Size I/9 (5.5mm) Tunisian crochet hook; size H/8 (5.0mm) standard hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
