Notes

11/24/10: I FINSHED IT! My BO was too tight, even when I went up a needle size. Oh well I may try to block it and see if that helps a little.

11/18/10: Only 23 more rows to knit and I am done with the knitting, then I have about a million ends to sew in, but the great news is that the blanket will be done in time for Christmas.

11/3/10: As of today I am 2/3 of the way done! I am so excited to be making my way through. Just keep swimming right?

10/11/10: Well I officially hit the half way point last Wednesday 10/6. I just keep chugging along trying to get this done by Christmas. I do have hope It took me 2 months to get the first half done, so I hope I can get the next half done in the next 2 months.

9/19/10: 6 1/2 skeins down, I’m working my way through the second dividing pattern and I’m almost ready to start the second set of trees. I live and breathe this blanket right now. When I’m doing something boring or in my opinion pointless all I think about is how I wish I had my knitting.

Go ahead stamp my forehead with a big NERD on it!

9/10/10: 4 1/2 skeins down only 13 1/2 left. I have finished the first row of trees as well as the first Dividing pattern, I’m currently working on the diamond pattern inspired by dcanna. I started off slow, but now I’m starting to pick up speed again.

8/4/10: 1 skein down, 17 more to go. so far so good as far as the pattern and we shall see what happens from here.

8/1/10: I received the yarn yesterday and it’s nice and soft, so I’m pretty jazzed about getting started tonight when I get home. My mission is to complete this before Christmas so I’m going to be a machine for the next month. I cast on tonight and finished the first three rows of moss stitch!

7/26/10: I ordered the yarn today and spent some time perusing other ravelers project looking for notes etc. I found someone who had replaced the leaf stitches with garter stitch and the flower garden with a diamond pattern. I loved the way the blanket looked and I have now decided to change the pattern. I plan to do a moss stitch for the border and then do the diamond pattern I found instead. I hope this goes well. I’m feeling anxious that it won’t be done by Christmas. The pressure is on as I’ve missed their anniversary due to poor planning and now must make it before Christmas. 5 months and counting!
