Added 3 garter stitches on each side of the front. After a couple of rows, I made button holes on 1 side of the shrug in the garter stitch section.

Buttons from Tender Button in NYC

I thought this would take 2 skeins so I have 1 skein left to make another.

This rustic self striping yarn definitely looks better in the BSJ than in plain stockinette. But the buttons make up for it and all baby knits are cute.
