Added button and button hole. Button hole is YO k1 k1 pass first stitch over. Button is large, 2 inches. After the button hole I did slanted decreases on both sides 2 right and 2 left leaving center stitches regular (knit them plain) until 3-4 stitches remain. Then do one ssk, k1, slip ssk stitch over, k2tog, pass the previous stitch over to finish the BO. Button hole is placed on the next RS row after the last pattern row.
To wear hold middle of scarf at the front of your neck. Wrap sides of scarf around your neck and fasten the button so it sits to one side. Un curl the scarf so the pattern shows its detail.
