I started a size M, but I didn’t like the fit on me, so I ripped it back and knitted a size L.

I got into some troubles of my own making around the neckline because I wanted more ease in the body but not necessarily around the neck. I did more decreases in the back darts to give more shape to the back of the neck which holds it on my shoulders better.

I did an extra stripe round before the neckline as I need a deep arm scythe, but I love the fit of the lower sleeves.

I’m not particularly happy with my first real attempt contiguous set in sleeves, the loose gauge seems to have created holes next to the decreases which look a bit untidy if I raise my arms up, but that is my own fault and not the fault of the pattern. I am more happy with my stripe jogs, I had so many attempts at getting it right, but the purl gap really helps.

I love this jumper, the pattern is great, the yarn is soft and comfy and does not itch next to my skin. And it is warm. I’ve been wearing in a lot since I finished it (that’s why it looks a little fluffy).

I tried de-fluffing it with an Evercare fabric shaver and made a few holes. They were easily mended, but I’ll be binning the offending shaver once I’ve worked out what I can use in it’s place. For my Selvedge, I very carefully used a razor blade and that worked a treat AND I only cut myself once!
