Dayna got me this yarn on vacation and I wanted to make something special. I think there’s enough yarn for two felted bowls. I looked at a bunch of patterns and noticed some consistent things and am just making it up as I go along from there:

c/o 8, join in the round.
Round 1: kfb around
Round 2: knit around
Round 3: kfb, K1, place marker
Round 4 and subsequent even rows: knit around
Round 5 and subsequent odd rows: kfb, knit until marker, move marker (repeat total 8 times)

When there are 10 stitches between markers:
Round 1: knit around
Round 2: knit around
Round 3: kfb, knit until marker, move marker (repeat total 8 times)
Round 4: knit around
Round 5: knit around
Round 6: kfb, knit until marker, remove marker (repeat total 8 times), leaving the marker for the beginning/end of the row.

Continue knitting around until 50 grams yarn remain
Switch colors.

2/15: switching colors. The grey isn’t the same weight as the yellow. Will it all come out in the felting/blocking? Who knows. But since I know l will regret if I don’t document everything: the ball of grey started at 25g.

3/2: the size of the grey yarn means it’s got a little inward curling lip. (Knit maybe 5 rounds then bound off knitwise - 18 grans remain.) The whole thing took may 5 trips through the wash on hottest setting before I had any confidence it would hold it’s shape. It took days to dry. Even in front of the fireplace. It’s boxier than I anticipated but charming and I think I’ll make the second exactly the same.

3/2: it worked so well I am making another just the same.
