Cast on 3 stitches using the figure 8 cast on. Knit 2 rounds then increase 1st and last stitch every other round until shape is wide enough for your hand. Then work garter stitich by alternating knit and purl every other round or as suits you. Try it on every so often to find where the thumb opening should go. After thumb opening knit garter stitch until length reaches wrist. Decrease number of stitches to evenly knit in 2x2 rib. Then knit in 2x2 rib for 4 rows. Then increase every knit section by knitting front and back of each knit stitch. Now you will have a 4x2 rib. Continue until length needed is reached then bind off loosely. Add eye, smile, fin or none.
