Notes

Fun pattern! I enjoyed knitting it, but I don’t think I’ll wear it very often because I’m not really a shawl person, and because the size and asymmetry make it hard for me to find a flattering way to wear it. I just couldn’t resist trying such a cool-looking pattern!

I’m not happy with how the blocking turned out (unwanted scalloped edges), but that’s due to my own inexperience.

I think I’ll revisit this when the weather is cooler and decide if I’m going to incorporate it into my wardrobe or frog it and reuse that beautiful Madelinetosh yarn. Either way it was a fun project to knit!

Update, Feb. 2012: I still need to reblock to get rid of the scallops along the edges, but I think I’ll keep this shawl, rather than frogging it. Now that I’ve realized that I can bunch it up and wear it like a scarf, I think I’ll wear it more often. So pretty and cozy!
