My second fair isle project. The hubs request after the sweet Skull Hat was completed. I think I have learned to do these in 100% wool, as I tend to do this a bit too tight and they need to stretch out. I was working with what was in my stash - no white in wool ease so opted for vanna - might be craptacular.

The 3 color rows are a bit hairy, but I got through it - must have been channeling the force.

Used basic hat pattern.

UPDATE: well crapola - it ended up being to tight for Mike, but will make a good kids hat. We’ll have to see who it is meant to be with.

Cast on 86 - did k2 p2 rib for 1”.
Increaded to 95 stitches - did 5 repeats of Stormtrooper chart.

Increased on stitch to get to 96 stitches.

Decreases:
Row 1: K12 & Place Marker. Repeat from until end of round.

Row 2: K until 2 stitches before marker, K2Tog; repeat from until end of round

Row 3: Knit round

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 until 24 stitches left on needles.

Repeat Row 2 until 8 stitches left on needles.

Cut Yarn, weave through remaining 8 stitches and weave in ends.
