Notes

I am a HUGE fan of Duplet and the Ukranian crocheters. So much so that I HAVE to make a cardi inspired by all the gorgeous works I see on the pages of the magazine. I’m combining Japanese motifs with Irish crochet motifs and then heavily modified versions of each. The plan is to do the entire cardi in the same thread.

8/10/11 Ready for filling!

8/15/11 Back and front filled in.

8/19/11 Sleeves finished and set in. On to the edging!

8/21/11 She’s complete! I decided to do a bell sleeve inspired by my dear friend, Yarnartist’s Shruggity Shrug. I love the way it flares. The ties are Romanian Point Lace chords with motifs sewn to them for embellishments.

8/22/11…not being able to leave well enough alone, I added freshwater pearls and crystal beads to the cuffs and ties. More is more!
