Decided to rip these out and start again going one-at-a-time for the legs to easier continue the slipped stitch pattern around the sides. Have finished one (left) and am about to knit the right leg and cuff.

Am using Toe-Up Socks With a Difference by Wendy D Johnson for the basic sock recipe and am adding a slipped stitch and crossed stitches stitch pattern. Have done the charts in Intwined Studio and am well on with the feet of the socks (two at a time, magic loop). I may end up releasing this as a free pattern.
