Using a lot of yarn, lots and lots, stash buster, all worsted, except for the unspun, using two strands of that.

I charted all my patterns myself, from sketches I made from ideas from many Halloween charts and drawings from lots of places.

Starting with sleeves, since I fully expect many false starts, and sleeves made decent swatches.

Totally changed direction. New smaller motifs charted. All background blue or purple.

Redid the sleeve tops, took out the owls, added ravens. Next up, replace the body ravens with pale owls.

Worked much better with the new colors.

2 yoke stripes done. According to my initial measurements, I only need 14 more rows. But my knitting plan includes more like 19. That green section has 13.

I can do a 10 row blue stripe, then a 7 row persimmon like I planned, or both 7 rows. Or one 12 row persimmon stripe. All are slightly different arrangements of the same bats.

I guess, since I’m down to 160 stitches, it will go fast enough that I won’t mind frogging if I must. I had to screw around with the left side of the front yoke, because of a couple mistakes. I think it will be ok, though. But, really. Making mistakes just below the neck center front????? Idiocy.

Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get the yoke done and ends woven tomorrow, so I can reinforce the steel and the edge stitches picked up tomorrow! It’s possible…. I won’t cut the steek until after I pick up the stitches.
