I was being filmed for a TV show and I needed a large bag to carry all my stuff.
I had already made a poppy hand bag (ages ago), so I set about creating a MUCH larger version.

I started with a large piece of brown paper, which was the finished size of the bag. I crocheted the poppies and pinned them onto the paper. All other sections e.g. leaves were added by crocheting onto the previous pieces. When I was happy with the arrangement I continued with the background until it covered my paper shape.
The handles were made from plastic tubing, used in wine making, which were covered with crochet.
I used polyester wadding to support the bag and then lined it. It also has a magnetic fastening.
