Perfect pattern for a single skein of the Estrellita. Love the sparkle in the yarn, and I think that accent blends nicely with the fringe. I did stop when I was on the last set of rows before bind off and measured out yarn for the fringe. Then knit until I knew I would just have enough yarn left for bind off. Ended up with only a few yards left over.

Did not do the garter tab. Used these instructions instead:
Cast on 12 stitches using Cable Cast On
-Next Row knit
-Next Row Sl, KFB, knit until 2 stitches remaining KFB, K1
-Next Row, Sl, KFB, knit until 2 stitches remaining, KFB, K1
-Next Row Sl, knit to end of row
Then begin SHAWL

Saw that others did not do the textured band but garter stitch instead. I had intended to do the same, but once I started I thought it just looked like too much garter overall. Tinked back and added in the textured band. Glad I did as I think it adds more textural interest to the finished shawl.
