I really enjoyed making this cardigan and will likely make one with the same yarn in a different color for myself.

I did have to make some adjustments in the pattern so that it would fit my mother in law better. After finding her sized based on the finished bust measurements, I calculated what the finished hip measurement would be (from the blocking diagrams) and found that I’d need 4 more inches. So, you will see some decreases across the lower back as I transitioned to the correct size. The decreases are a bit more noticeable than I’d have liked, but now I’ve learned. Also, the button bands line up better across the front, I just didn’t notice how they were lined up while I was taking the pictures or I would have fixed them!

Note: This sweater is not being modeled by the person it was knit for--but they are similar in size. A big thank you to my mom for modeling this for me before I wrapped it up for Christmas.
