Notes

03/23/13: This took much longer to knit than I anticipated. However, it was trumped by some baby gifts and a comissioned sweater. It also didn’t help that we have a Maine Coon so she needed a larger size. I used my sewing machine with a zig-zag stitch to sew the tube together. I have to knit the “plate” part still, but “Oboe” has been happily using it on her perch. I designed the pawprint motif along the side--it is not one that comes with the pattern. I realize the pawprints don’t “pop” very well, but this was another stash buster project so I couldn’t be too fussy. Also, the yarn is low-grade, Mainstay stuff from Walmart and I couldn’t picture myself knitting another sweater out of it.

I’ll measure it and add some more specifics at a later date--maybe when it is completely done ;-)

12/12: We’re getting a new cat and I thought this would be a quick and fun project to work on as we wait to go pick her up on New Year Eve. Also, won’t my husband be impressed that this won’t require the purchase of new yarn!?
