Friends in Alaska had a baby boy. They enjoy salmon fishing so I’m making this toy to go along with the book “Salmon Stream”. It is about the life cycle of a salmon written in the style of “This Is The House That Jack Built”. Should make a nifty baby gift.

Feb. 3--Finished off the fins, stuffed and sewed up the side seam at our Super Bowl party. The baby’s aunt and uncle were there and were certain the baby’s mom and dad would find it to be a fun and unique gift.

The pattern isn’t hard, but it does take some focus and careful reading. It isn’t always clear when you should be working in the round and when it is worked flat.

I used gold embroidery floss to add a splash of color and to hold down the yarn-knot eye.
