A REALLY fun project--and such a clever pattern. I ended up using six more balls than the pattern calls for. That’s because I didn’t knit it in stockinette, but knitted something with lots of texture. I was very pleased that it ended up fitting my plastic chair so well. The one problem area was that the picked up stitches looked very sloppy, especially around the top. I solved that (I think) by knitting a strand of tube stitch, with a bobble every ten rows, and stitching it up the arms (there no bobbles) and around the top. I do think that it ended up reminiscent of my grandmother’s old chenille bedspread.
