Notes

Totals are estimated based on what I have left of the Royal Blue.

I think the instructions for ending the first two colors (A & B in the directions) and to join the new colors (C & D) are wrong. It says to end after row 3, a purled row, but the new color row is also a purled row. I ripped out the row 3, and ended at row 2. It looks like that’s where I’ll end before the BO for C & D as well.

Okay, had to go through row 3 before the BO after all due to which color you BO with and where it’s placed at the beginning of the row…

Next panel tomorrow.

So I never added… I mixed up two of the colors on three of the four A-D pieces… (That’s what I get for picking a few blue-green colors that could go either way…) I don’t have time to redo them. I’m doing F-H as normal, but I’m thinking I’ll switch two colors here as well on one piece so that there will be three rectangles that are the same, and one different. We’ll see how it looks…

Finished last night, just have the last couple ends to sew in.

I did a different border than written. Using a long circ. 8, I did a garter border, picking up on the short ends and doing them, then picking up the long sides and doing them. I did the pick up row, then knit six rows. The I bound off with a 10. I tried Jeny’s stretchy bind off, but it pulled out too much; the 10 worked really well. Now to just sew in ends and get photos.

I’m not sold on the pistachio next to the limelight, but that’s really the only issue I have.

I wound up switching the limelight and dark sage on one panel, to go with the messed up first panel, so I have one rectangle that’s different - it’s one of the middle panels so it looks okay. :) Overall, I really like how this turned out and would definitely make it again. I hope my friend likes it!
