I read a lot of other people’s mods and decided to try something a bit different to deal with the large armhole. Cast on with larger needle for small size yolk. Picked up stitches for medium size in smaller needle and continued following pattern for medium while still knitting with smaller needle. I decided to try this because I wanted a denser fabric and was really looking for a size somewhere between the sm/med. No waist shaping. Since this is linen, I’d like it to have more flow through the body. Added three spaced increases when body hit top of my hip then did a split hem using a simple lace pattern with a 2 stitch garter edge on each side. Picked up 60 stitches around the arm and reduced by two on front and back during icord bind-off.

s1k2p= sl1, k2tog, psso

Row 1: k3 YO, s1k2p, YO k5; rep from * to last 6 sts, YO, s1k2p, YO, k3
Row 2 and all wrong side rows: purl
Row 3: k2 YO k1, s1k2p, k1 YO, k3; rep from * to last 7 sts, YO, k1, s1k2p, k1, YO k2
Row 5: k1 YO k2m s1k2p, k2 YO k1 rep from * to end
Repeat 6 row pattern twice and bind-off using icord bind-off.
