My gauge is slightly smaller than normal so I went up to the large size hoping for a 39 inch chest.

Since this is a hand dyed yarn and one skein is more blue and the other is more green I’m alternating every two rows. I’m twisting my yarns right after doing the 3 sts i-cord edge so as not to have the twists show on the i-cord. It seems to be hiding them well.

Did 3 extra sets of the increase rounds after separating for the arms (for 151 total stitches, 24 extra rows). This added length and made it so the pockets don’t pull as much of the front askew. When done with the increase rows, I folded the pockets over and double knit them closed in the rib is pattern rather than sew them over. This kept the hem at the pockets from being double thick. Did twisted rib because I like it better. 9 rows of rib before bind off.

Sleeves: decided on long sleeves because I had the yarn and wanted something better for winter. Picked up an extra stitch at each side of the cast on stitches at underarm to prevent a gap, then on next row k1, k2tog, knit to last 3, ssk, k1. Knit 7 rows, then repeat decrease row ever 6th row until only 39 stitches remain. 9 rows of twisted rib before bind off (p2tog on last 2 stitches of first rib row to get an even number).

Neck: followed pattern for picking up neck and knitting but when instructed to bind off I used a 3 stitch i-cord bind off. Also added 22 inches of i-cord at each end of bind off to have ties long enough to tie in a bow rather than use buttons for closure.
