The only modification to the pattern I made was to knit the sleeves full length. I continued to follow the established decrease pattern until the sleeves were wrist length.

The Shepherd Worsted was amazing to work with. It is extremely fluffy and soft. A small amount of dye came out in the rinse when I blocked it, but nothing unusual.

Like every project of mine, this didn’t actually take over two years to knit. I just set it aside for a very long time.

Took some updated photos 5 years later. I’ll be honest, this doesn’t get a ton of rotation in my wardrobe. It pills pretty badly--even for superwash merino(!) so I feel like every wear I have to de-pill before I can wear it again. It also gets a little loose around the armpits and needs to be re-blocked into shape after a few wears. I blame the eyelet shaping at the shoulders. There’s just no stability there at all and the eyelets just grow and stretch and sag. Maybe that is why the pattern only had ¾ length sleeves to begin with.
