I knit these on a US 2 rather than a US 4. I wanted to make a denser gauge and also make the mitts smaller since I have small hands. I really like the way they turned out and they are just the right size.

There is a gap at the thumb that I wish had been closed better by the pattern by having you cast on an extra stitch or two over the gap then quickly decrease them away. I’m kicking myself for not doing it anyway. Once again falling victim to listening to the pattern over my gut instincts…

I got the yarn as kit from the sponsoring yarn shop during the Rose City Yarn Crawl in 2015. That means the yarn only marinated in the stash for about three years.
