Notes

This years goal is to knit socks that match my clothing.
Sometimes, that can be hard--I have lots of colorful clothing. (and sometimes it can be boring--i also have lots of black!)

These socks are stripes of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet--the classic colors of the spectrum--connected with a mid grey tone.

I love them--bright, colorful, a simple slip stitch pattern and stripes--together make the most wonderful design. Sort of like raindrops--on the rainbow.

Some of the yarns are Paton’s colors (most are now discontinued colors) but the green and indigo were home dyed--the indigo was dyed in LICraftGirl’s indigo pot (all natural!) the green, is McCormick food coloring!

The cast on is the Open/Closed Long Tail, followed by a deep striped cuff of 2 X 2 ribbing, then 1 full ROY G BIV repeat, a solid heel, and another ROY G BIV repeat on the instep, finished with a round toe in the grey.
