Oh my goodness! I love this pattern. This is my second version - the first one is here - and it is such a beautiful knitting experience. There’s no second guessing involved; the pattern is so well written. The shawl when blocked becomes twice as big.
I used size 5 Miyuki Triangular Beads in two colours; a violet amber and a crystal too. And the yarn! Squoosh Fiberarts has stolen my heart. I used a sport weight one in my Ochre cardigan and now this lace weight. Honestly, they are both divine. This Empress colourway has a gleam to it with subtle variations which give depth of colour.
I call this shawl Endurance as my children and I have been obliged to practise the art of patience these past months. There is an end in sight, I believe, which is truly wonderful.
