My niece found this hand-written pattern amongst my grandmother’s things. I thought I would just knit it up in cotton to see what it looked like. Any pattern is a dishcloth pattern if you don’t overthink it!

CO 40 sts
knit six row pattern until yarn runs out (it was an already used ball).
BO on last purl row.

It curls at the edges. I guess a garter or seed stitch border could fix that.
