Making the 2 year old size and skipping the pocket out of laziness and knowledge that my 1 year old does not need a pocket at this time.

I like everything about this pattern - the instructions are clearly charted out for multiple sizes and weights (and also for leaving out the pocket!). The shaping is fiddly only for a moment! And then it all comes together faster than expected. Very gratifying and definitely worth the money.
