Notes

20090117- DONE! didn’t use full skeins, will fix amounts when i actually weigh what i have left.
(earlier ~6p) i did indeed pick out the ribbing and have 1-2 rows left before i re-bind off. still it’s a bit loose, but it’ll be better. also wove in ends erev shabbat.
20090116- should’ve gone down a needle size for the ribbing, but didn’t. will consider them done for now and wear them anyway. whoknows, maybe i’ll weave in a few of the many many ends.. ;)20090115- gave up on making mittens will keep this as mitts. when knit to pattern w this yarn they come up almost to my pinkie. will have ribbing go just past it … should be enough that when it’s really cold (like it is this week) then i can tuck my fingers in …. or wear mittens knitted w worsted or aran weight yarns. cuz when it’s this cold no part of my body wants to be outside. ;) (ok ok, plus i’m sick and tired of knitting them and want to move onto other projects… )
20090102- finally finished the thumbs.. did them now so i can figure out placement for the rest. have peak-holes so that i can still crackberry and do other things that need thumbs w/o taking them off. 20081125- laid groundwork for thumbs today. am toying with doing “playground mitten” or something. Hmm… (I just don’t want to knit fingers)
20081118- started colourwork on the train this morning but was too cocky to look up the pattern. Think I did it wrong b/c 1 mitt has CC on last 4 stitches and the other has MC. snort that’s what I get pre-coffee-tea-food-not-enough-sleep. Will review pattern and see if i have to tink back.
d’oh! i missed the M1 increases. I knew something was missing. I’ll have wait until I get home (ARG!) as my phone pic of the pattern isn’t clear. SIGH
6:30pm tinked back while waiting for prof’s office hours. must increase after ribbing 10 stitches on each mitt. at least now i’m good.. (i think)
20081114- CO for these. I don’t wear the pair I made last winter very often b/c they just don’t match much and the regia silk pills muchly. This pair I hope to have enough yarns to add a mitten top that can fasten back. Time will tell.
