In collaboration with Sara Savian, at WeMake fablab, the place where we work at as designers and makers.

The BOOOMber jacket has been exhibited at Salone del Mobile until sunday 9th of April, to represent a product of the 4.0_manufacturing processes and the digital fabrication’s tools. We used open source softwares and hardwares to draw the whole pattern and the knitted pattern: Gimp + Ayab shield to transfert the drawing to the modified knitting machine. Valentina Cad + Inkscape + lasercutter to draw and cut the yellow wool fabric parts. And also a lot of hand work for assembling and finishing.

The fabric is a kind of jersey in 100% wool, and the color is identical to the lighter color of the yarn: a sort of lemon acid yellow.
