Notes

i wanted something that uses continuous motifs, and graceful curves to go with the mood this colourway inspires. this turned out to be an excellent prototype for thicker yarns; i’ll probably adapt some circular stitch patterns i have to do other scarves.

used a larger hook than ballband advises, to get more loft. wish i had that hook size in something slippier than bamboo (put that on wishlist). didn’t have a problem with splitting despite the yarn being a low-twist single; there were a couple of knots but the yarn spit-felts like a dream, and with the long colour repeats, the knots were much less of a problem than usual in variegated yarns.

unfortunately, while the yarn feels soft in the skein and while handling, it knits up somewhat itchy. i’ll have to give the scarf a special bath to see whether that fixes it; otherwise i will not use the yarn again for against-the-skin projects.
