Notes

i’m rating the project “medium difficulty” merely because it took a little time to figure out the technique for the sole. it’s brilliant; i’d never seen it before, and it makes a wonderful double-thick fabric without that knotty feel one often gets from sc. it was also difficult to deal with not having gauge and not being able to assess well whether what i was crocheting was going to fit.

other than that, the pattern is easy. oh, and trust it! the sole looks like it will be too small, but it will fit. as long as you pick the right size to start with.

patons classic wook is a worsted weight, using hook size 7 the slipper fits my US7 feet in socks; a bit roomy at the back. i think i might be able to go down half a hook size to have it fit snugly, or felt the slippers very lightly.
