first experiment in pooling. several years ago i bought a whole bunch of mule-spun yarn from a local sheep farm when they went out of business, some of which i dyed when i figured out that koolaid made a brilliant, user-friendly dye (much better to dye with it than to drink the gunk!). this hank was dyed by dipping one end in lime, and the other end in cherry; it has a tiny section of pastel green and soft pink between the two VIBRATING main colours.
i knit up a swatch, and of course the colours flashed, which i hate. so i left the yarn alone for several years -- but now i know about pooling!
cast on 3 repeats and then just knit in the round. learned quite a bit about my tension while doing this.
i’ll make a rectangular bottom for it, and probably a long strap. then i’m gonna felt it.
