7/14 - Just got my Spartina 449 Day Tote bag today! LOVE the bag, but unfortunately it lacks compartment! So gonna crochet one!

7/15 - Hmm…sc or dc? Sc will definitely hold up better but ugh… 10” by 8” of of sc?!! Dc is faster but may not hold it’s shape that well… experiment time.

7/16 - And the winning stitch is…. HDC! Woohoo! Added one divider without sewing! YES! Insert measures 10” W 5” H. Going to add one more divider across lengthwise and maybe add a few pockets on the outter-side of the insert.

7/17 - Added middle divider across and started a 4”W by 3” H pocket on the inside. Think I’ll add another smaller pocket next to it, and secure the whole insert side edges with sl st.

7-17 - Finished! This is just a temp insert. Gonna make another one slightly smaller, and when I find a color that matches the inside of my tote. Found one at AC Moore yesterday, Lion Brand Baby in Violet. Too bad it’s baby yarn :( Need medium worsted yarn.
Will share the pattern once I get it together, not quite sure how to write the part on the method I use to crochet the divider without sewing. It’s combination of tacking (sewing method) + sc.
