Knitted this for Pierrot’s 2nd Contest. I had initially bought the yarn for the French Sleeve Sweater but due to time constraint, I decided to go with a camisole. This actually turned out really great as I don’t have a knitted cami in my wardrobe!
I started with lots of lace pattern in mind, but as I got acquainted with the yarn, I find that it doesn’t need any complicated pattern. On the contrary, any too complicated pattern would just mask it’s natural beauty. In the end, I choose simple eyelets and bobbles, and scallop edging.
I used Chevron Rib on the bottom edging which tends to curl. For any future scallop edging project, I would try Old Shale/Feather and Fan Stitch.
The top edging is crochet (with a 2.0mm hook) in mini scallop.
Since I’ve not done any beading in my knitting before, I decided now is a good time to give it a shot. Hence, the beaded tulip on the top of my cami. I used the hook beading method.
Overall, I’m REALLY happy with my cami! I LOVE it! It’s so, so, soft, and yet hold it’s shape when worn.
