Notes

Kaiza76 challenged me to a KAL in AUgust. Since I do have the pattern I couldn’t say no :)

I had 55 grams leftover from another skein so I casted on with the left overs.

Casted on like I always do.
Casted on 5 stitches

Knit 1, knit f/b,k1, knit f/b,k1
Knit all 7

An off we go!

First picture only done two repeats.

Notice that there is no chart for rows 33 and 34, so don’t forget to read the instructions for the row of yo k2tog to get the right stitch count prior to starting the edging chart 5.

I am thinking og enlarging the shawl.
Need to knit the petal pattern 9, 13, 17, or 21 times for the Lily of the Valley lace to work

231 stitches after 13 repeats.
295 stitches after 17 repeats

110 grams yarn used for 17 repeats.

Super easy way to do nupps (VIDEO) IF you’re friend with a crochet hook… I chose beads instead :)
Mill Hill 6/0 Glass beads - color: Frosted Ice #16602

331 stitches after Chart 4A

I Have 375 stitches before the edging I am now considering what to do about the edging.

I did a plain knit row for row 33, with yo’s on each side of center stitch and at the edges.
I will not knit the k2tog and yo’s because I want the edging to flow with the rest without a row of holes. Instead of decreasing or increasing at 1B or 1A I do another plain row That gives me 379 stitches that add upp perfectly with the edging. after this plain row (with ordinary yo’s) I start at row 2 at the edging.

Had to ajust. After doing some math and tinking back I needed one stitch less - 378 because I counted center stitch in the chart…. SO I would have gone for 1A but added yo’s after edge stitches and on both sides of center stitch.

218 grams yarn used and about 650 beads. I LOVE IT!!!!

I blocked it abit different from others. Since I removed the yo edging I made the “points” in another way than I had seen on pictures of this shawl.
