I am entering a blog as a “championknit” for the Women european championship7-19 december of 2010.

I have never knitted a sweather before - and hope I can make it within the deadline :)

I have a dream of making 3 Marius sweathers. One for my son and the other two for mye niese and nephew - and have a family photo when we visit Norhern Norway (since they live way over there)

So this is for my niese :)

I knitted the body 3 cm longer than called for.

17 rows of 2x2 ribbing on the arms. Knitted 27 cm and then started the pattern on the arms.

Maria told me that I needed to decrease more at the neck. So I changed the 3 last decreases like this:

Decreased 32 (162 stitches total)

Then I decreased so that I had 144 stitches= 4 year size

And down to 100 for the ribbing.

I am very happy to say I finished and I really hope Sylvia will be happy for her christmas gift.

I have woven the ends in but some finishing remains. Have to wash and block it tomorrow :)
