Notes

Materials; any type of worsted or baby yarn,tapestry needle,stitch marker, I hook. some fiber fill stuffing.
Legend; Rnd=round,Rnds=rounds, ch=chain, sl st=slip stitch, dc=double crochet, sc=single crochet, sc dec= single crochet decrease, hdc= half double crochet

Blanket;
Ch. 5 Join with a sl st to form a ring.

1st Rnd.; Ch. 3(counts as dc through out pattern). 3dc(ch2,4dc) 3 more times in ring. Ch2 join with a sl st to top of ch.3

2nd Rnd.; Ch.3 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. (2 dc,ch-2,2dc) in next ch-2 sp.1 dc in each of next 4 dc (2 dc,ch-2,2dc) in next ch 2 sp. Rep from 2 more times.Join with a sl st to top of ch3.

3rd -12th Rnds.;(or as many as you want)ch3 1dc in each dc next to ch-2 sp.(2 dc,ch2,2dc) in next ch-2 sp. Rep from 3 times more. 1 dc in each dc to end of rnd.Join with a sl st to top of ch3.

13th Rnd.; Ch 1 . 1 sc in each dc around. Do 3 sc in each corner ch-2 sps. Join with a sl st to 1st sc. If you want to make the scallop edge DO NOT END OFF.Can change color here.

Scallop Edging; ch1, skp 1 sc then sc in next sc, skp next sc and do 5 dc in the next sc. Keep doing this till you reach the ch 1. Join with a sl st into the ch 1 and end off.

Angel Head; This part is worked in rounds.

1st Rnd.; Ch 2 and do 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

2nd Rnd.;2sc in each st around. (10 sts) Note; Place your stitch marker into the 10th st

3rd Rnd.; 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st. Repeat around(15 sts)

4th Rnd.; 1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st around(20sts)

5th Rnd.; 1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st around(25 sts)

6th Rnd.; 1 sc in next 4 sts, 2sc in next st around(30 sts)

7th-14th Rnds.; sc in each st around(30 sts)

15th Rnd.; 1 sc in next 4 sts, sc dec around(25 sts )

16th Rnd.; 1 sc in next 3 sts, sc dec around(20 sts)

17th Rnd.; 1 sc in next 2 sts, sc dec around(15 sts)

Note; You will want to start stuffing the head

18th Rnd.; 1 sc in next st, sc dec in next st around(10 sts)

19th Rnd.; sc dec in each st around(5sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing and joining to the Blanket.

Angel Wing; ch 11

1st Rnd.; hdc in 3rd ch from hook. hdc in each st across the ch. ch2 and turn

2nd-9th Rnds.; hdc in each st. Fasten off.
Take a long strand of yarn and wrap around the center a few times. Tie the strand off but DO NOT CUT OFF. You will need the rest of this strand to sew onto the bottom back of Angel head. Only sew the center part of wing to head.

Angel Halo; Ch 15 and sl st to 1 st ch to make a circle. Place about 40 sc into the circle. Join to 1st sc and fasten off.

Assembly; Sew the Angel head to the center of blanket. Sew the wing to the back middle to bottom of head. (use your judgement on how you want to place the wing) Fan out the sides after attaching to give it the “wing” look. Sew Halo to top of the head.
