When I am ready to beam the warp, I remove the support sticks that the lease sticks and raddle rested on and move the raddle to the top of the beater bar which has been immobilized in a lever position with Irwin Quick Grip clamps.

The draft for these towels has 4 different color ways, and I plan to weave all 4. I started with yellow.

5-yard warp
488 ends
24 ⅖ inches in the reed
10 dent reed sleyed at 2 ends per dent
20 epi/20 ppi in 2/2 twill with plain weave hems

The warp is all 8/2 cotton. The weft is cotton slub yarn, but the hems are woven in 8/2 cotton.

The weft is a single color, although for the yellow towels, 2 are woven with Ivoire and 2 with Naturel

I ended up with 4 long towels and one shorter one. I discovered a threading error when I was near the end of the second towel and since I hadn’t noticed it for so long, I decided not to correct it. It is in one of the variegated stripes so it is difficult to see, even if you know it’s there.
