I’m almost done with the garter section. I think I’m able to make two more vertical lines for the garter section, if my calculations are correct. I want to use up my yarn as well as possible.

I didn’t make extra vertical lines. And the yarn was going to run out before the last lace repeat was done, so I modified the edging a bit. I also did a picot bind-off that was not in the pattern.
