This other cat’s nest was my inspiration but I ended up changing everything about it. :) I changed the yarn, crocheting direction, pattern, increases and decreases…

My pattern:

--- Notes ---

• This pattern is not worked in spiral! Work is turned after every round.

• The pattern will shrink more width-wise than length-wise.

Structure of a round:

• Chain 1
• Turn work
• Single crochet (sc) through the back loop of each stitch in the round
• Decrease one stitch at the end of the round, otherwise one stitch is added on every row and we do not want that. (Exception to this are the increase rounds when you can omit one increase by skipping the ending decrease).
• Slip stitch to the first stitch of the round

Cut the yarn but leave a tail and use it to close the gap.

Put a plastic bag inside the nest, take some cotton yarn and stitch the nest and the plastic bag together with a few long stitches.

Felt the nest in a washing machine (in 40C) with a few towels.
