I LOVE this cable pattern! I made this for my hubby as his Father’s Day gift. He loves it. I worked the pattern with 3 dpn’s instead of circulars, only because I didn’t have short enough size 6 circulars to properly work the pattern as written and I didn’t want to have a seam on either side and work it flat. It worked just as well on dpn’s though, if I were to do it again, I think I would divide the back 25 stitches over 2 needles instead of 1 and work it over 4 dpn’s instead of 3. Regardless, I am very happy with the finished project. I also deviated slightly from the pattern at the end. I bound it off and then seamed the bottom shut rather than using a kitchener stitch. I also left a small opening at the bottom so my husband can plug it in to charge it, if needed. (However, I would not suggest doing this for prolonged periods of time in case the kindle gets warm as it could be a fire hazard, depending on the fiber you use and wether or not it’s breathable.) All in all, I really enjoyed this piece!
