Jan 30: Time to use up this last piece of chunky variegated alpaca, as I can feel myself wanting to knit more solid-coloured yarn in future. Have always wanted to try linen stitch and feel this will be a quick, easy, satisfying knit. Portable, fast & fun!

Feb 3: Finished, but have a little extra yarn left that I wasn’t sure would be enough for a final row. Considered doing a crochet edge, but think I should just sew in and leave this piece clean and simple.
