Notes

Used this pattern as a base for a cardigan as heard it was well-written (perhaps a bit of a silly way to do it but worked in the end).

Using Twin Leaf Lace pattern instead of the pattern’s centre cable. Using 2 leaf columns on back, and one on each front.

Was hoping to knit Twin Leaf stitch top down but believe this is one of those lace patterns that can’t be reversed, so leaves will be facing downwards instead which looks ok, but not quite as pretty.

Had become a bit droopy as a cardigan, so ripped out the button bands and seamed up the front to make a jumper. Re-doing the neckline.

Cast off, sewed in ends.

Need to block and add buttons.

10 March 2014
25 rows of button band - quite large but probably picked too small a size in the first place as wasn’t being very careful.

Pick up 92 for button band (2 our of 3)

After putting sleeves on holder, increased 6-7 sts on each front at sidemarker for bust (increasing on each right side row).

Decreased 1 on each side for waist as indicated by pattern, but continued before increasing for around 4 inches.
