Notes

My cat chewed through 4 spots on this yarn I had hanging, ready to be wound up for the shop. So I’m making myself one of these. I wish I could say it was for revenge, but I doubt she’ll notice.

I started by separating the ball into two identical center pulls. I used the dk grey section from both for the beginning of the border. Then I worked from both balls for the purple section and for the stripes, changing colors at the beginning of each RS row and carrying the yarn up the side.

I didn’t like the lace border for the top of the shawl and I had only a bit of the dk purple left. So I picked up and knit a row with lt grey, and then knit a row with the dk purple before doing the picot bo.

I still have some of the lime and pale lilac left! And it relaxed quite a bit after washing. I’m really really happy with it. It was a super fun knit, the lace edging/border were my first lace with pattern YOs on both sides. This pattern is a great intro to lace; after the border it’s mindless SS great for tv knitting.
