Notes

Started these for the Sunshine Yarnies May Lace KAL. I’ll also be using this as my homework for the HPKCHC, Defense Against the Dark Arts Class (May ‘09).

05.07.09 : I was finally able to cast on for this tonight, and I’ve done two of the 12 row repeats for the flap of the clutch. It’s looking so pretty in this lovely orange colorway, I adore it! I think the knitting will go pretty quickly for this project, but adding the lining already has me a bit nervous, I hope to ask some of the ladies I work with who know how to sew for advice before I attempt it myself.

05.31.09 : I am finally done with this! The lining turned out less than perfect but I’m totally okay with that (for now). Perhaps someday I’ll add a nicer lining or have someone make one for me as sewing is totally not a talent I was gifted with.

Notes : I changed the size for this project doing only 4 of 5 repeats. Also the pattern for the body of the clutch was not working out so I did this instead:

  1. purl across.
  2. k3, yo, sk2p, yo, k3, repeat to end of row.

I so am in love with this color and look forward to seeing it all the time as I carry my ds with me.
