I’m calling this my forever blanket because even though I’m motivated about this project, I have NEVER completed something this large, nor do I have the money to really invest in it right now. I simply couldn’t resist trying!

02.04.09 - I broke down and picked up a cheap ball of sock yarn from Jo-Ann Fabrics just so I could try my had at the mitered squares and start my forever blanket. I’ve officially made my first square and it’s in lovely, vibrant shades of green, pink and orange.

02.22.09 - I’ve been having so much fun working on this project. There’s something so special picking out the next color and working it into the blanket. So much instant gratification in each square. I already feel it will be a sad day when it’s completed (even though that is so far away). I’m looking forward to working on this project daily.

03.20.09 - Oh happy day! I have completed 100 squares!

05.14.09 - I just completed my 8th row of squares, so my blankie now contains 204 squares! Slowly growing! I should be posting a new photo soon to mark my progress!

08.10.09 - Blankie & I have sadly been on a hiatus for a few months, sad to say. I really need to start working on it more. I currently have about 310 squares made.

02.08.10 So after about a 6 month break from blankie, we’re back on track and very committed to each other. I picked blankie up at the start of the year and am now at 510 squares! My goal is to stay on track and finish by the end of the year. I’m officially 1/3 complete!
