I have a bazillion WIPs right now (most stuck in sleeve or Italian bind off islands), but this seems like a nice project.

And as I need to overcomplicate things, I will try to not only make the grains different colors but also keep the Bordeaux background between each grain.

Things are going well so far. I had to cut the contrasting color yarn less than originally though after I started using the previous or next color as “helper” to deal with the rows where only the main color would be used in the first half of the grains.

This cardigan will be VERY VERY WARM with all the merino, silk and the extra fabric created by the floats. I’m not sure how much use I will get from it in São Paulo as the weather is getting warmer each year.

Came back to it after a small pause. I’m out of the field!

It’s been a while since I have finished this.

I LOVED knitting this. Please do extra yarn overs on the grains, it will make them pop more and will make the k3tog easier. I will knit this again and will add even more YOs if possible to make the grains pop even more

This pattern is not difficult per se and I had no problems with clarity. But this is not to say that this is an easy knit. You will need to follow the yoke instructions very attentively because frogging a row or dropping a stitch are very very very hard, if not almost impossible.

I saved my pattern on Apple Books and would just use either my iPad or Mac at home or my iPhone when out and about to highlight the end of each row on the PDF as completed and keep everything in sync.

I gained a little weight (maybe 5 pound) mostly because of my burnout meds, so I might make the next one a size 5 or just make the arms roomier. It fits great as a size 4, but I prefer roomier cardigans anyway
