Another rendition of the Citrus Hat design I am working on. This one is from a sport weight handspun yarn where I got 5.25 sts on US 5s. Cast on 104 sts on 8/4/2015 for a hat about 20 inches around.

Finished 8/7/2015. I started the decreases at about 5.75 inches, and that made it just a tad too short for my head. However, I was vacationing with the in-laws while working on the hat, and my nephew Teddy put it on and it fit perfectly and he loved it. So I gifted it to him then and there. He slept it in that night and pretty much wanted to wear it all the time. A knitter’s dream!

Named after the Watauga River in western North Carolina, as we spent a fair amount of time in that river on this vacation. Also featured in the modeled shots!
