CO 6/8/2014. Always like a simple project on the needles for grab-and-go knitting. Am loving knitting with my handspun and this super-soft yarn! Knitting the regular loop size, since that seemed the best match for my yardage.
If I can finish this project before the end of the month, I’ll be back to the green wrt my stashdown goals for this quarter. Am optimistic.
I weighed the yarn at the first pattern transition point and had only used about 30% of the yarn, so I’ve ended up following the row count directions as per the large size (26 rows of the vertical rib, 25 rows of the horizontal rib). I am going to knit stockinette until I run out of yarn.
I am knitting a row here and there in the Brilliant only mini-skein, mixing them up at random through the project, and carrying the yarn up the beginning/end of the round. And you totally can’t tell.
Bound off on 6/19/2014. I ended up knitting 24 rows of the stockinette - so I’ve followed the row count for the Large, and the stitch count for the Regular. If I’d have known I had enough yarn, I would have cast on more stitches - I like to be able to double up my infinity scarves and this one is just a tad tight if I do that. But I still think it’s gorgeous!
300 yards out!
Blocked 6/19/2014. The weight of the water stretched it out, beautifully. It added a tad of airiness to the fabric and gave it a wonderful drape - and made it totally long enough for me. These colors are a bit too bright for me, but I might have to keep it anyway.
